Walking the streets of Barcelona in 1996, I immersed myself in the city’s timeless beauty—its cobblestone streets, vibrant cafés, and the iconic architecture of Gaudí. Amid this historic charm, Villa Isabel stood out, its doorway an invitation to wonder who or what might reside behind it.

Captured with my Hasselblad Classic 500cm and an 80mm lens on rare AGFA Scala B&W reversal film, this image reflects the rich tonal depth and evocative character of old-world Europe. It’s a moment that blends mystery, nostalgia, and the enduring allure of Barcelona’s streets.
