Photographed for Teen People’s Hollywood issue, Shannyn Sossamon’s undeniable beauty took center stage in many shots—but this image captures something deeper: her personality.

Using a large-format 4x5 Graflex Super D camera and Polaroid Type 55 film, I set the scene and gave her a few emotion cues to play with. The result is raw, fun, and authentically her—a reminder that personality often outshines beauty.
