Rosario Dawson, the American actress known for her talent and versatility, was photographed for the cover of Teen People’s Hollywood issue. While many of the images from that day focused on her undeniable beauty, this particular shot stands out to me because it captures something more—her personality.

I wanted to showcase her quirky, kind of tough side, so I set up the scene with a large-format 4x5 Graflex Super D camera and Polaroid Type 55 film. I gave her a few emotion cues and asked her to play around with expressions. The result? This one image that perfectly says, “WTF is this photographer asking me to do?”

It’s raw, fun, and completely her—a reminder that personality can shine even brighter than beauty.
