Minolta Flash Meter IV with 5 Degree Viewfinder Spot Attachment
This iconic Minolta Flash Meter iV Pro Spot was gifted to me by the estate of a photographer friend I met in Venice Beach, a renowned architectural photographer. Venice, often seen as the Westside’s “photo district,” became my creative home when I first moved to Los Angeles, attracting photographers from diverse industries beyond Hollywood.
The city’s modern landscape, shaped by legendary architects like Richard Neutra, John Lautner, Pierre Koenig, Rudolph Schindler, and Frank Gehry, was a constant source of inspiration. Their groundbreaking designs, from mid-century modern homes to innovative structures, not only defined LA’s post-war era but also fueled the creativity of those who documented their work, like my late friend.
This light meter is in working condition as is, making it a rare find for both practical use and as a hidden gem for shelf art or historical photo equipment collections.
