2 Silent Muses - Mannequin Studies on Kodak 400NC

Over the years, I’ve been fortunate to have a studio space to bring ideas to life. But sometimes, when inspiration strikes and there’s no one to shoot, I turn to mannequins. Ever since my photo school days, they’ve been my go-to stand-ins, helping me test new lighting setups or refine an idea.

Mannequins offer a starting point—a way to perfect the light before sending plans to my lighting tech to order equipment for a shoot. If you stop by my studio, you’ll see several mannequins in various shapes and sizes, quietly helping to bring concepts to life.

These two images were captured on my trusted Deardorff 8x10 large-format film camera, using Kodak 400NC film. A timeless combination for precision and beauty.
